A note on food contact — playing it safe

Our PETG is the same plastic family used in food packaging and water bottles. That said, the topper is a decorative party piece, not something to eat — and the insert spike is printed as one piece with the disc, so we always recommend an extra layer of safety before it goes into the cake:

• Wipe the spike with a sealed alcohol prep pad (we include one in the box), or
• Wrap the spike in a small piece of plastic wrap or food-safe parchment before inserting it into the cake.

Treat as single-use — once it's been in a cake, it's a keepsake, not a re-runner. Keep away from hot surfaces (no oven, no direct sunlight on a hot day, no microwave). When in doubt, barrier first.
